Creating Beauty from Brutality
We are a team of rural Africans who transform brutal poachers' snare traps into beautiful jewelry. We use unique materials, bought from local entrepreneurs, to create our designs and we donate to conservation with each sale. Our work empowers us whilst contributing to our wildlife heritage and community. We have proudly raised over $165,000 (and counting) for conservation.

We have cut up over 42,000 brutal snare traps (that's 100,000 kms) upcycling them into jewellery that is worn globally and tells a powerful conservation story.
We support over 400 rural African's through our business model. Buying from a network of 50 local entrepreneurs. We employ 15 Zambian's and have an all female management team. We have trained our team from the grass routes up to create our business model.
We have been talked about in National Geographic, Departures Magazine, Maire Claire and British Vogue. We have been worn by celebreties including Supermodel Doutzen Kroes, President Bill Clinton and Explorer Kingsley Holgate.
'I know that the work we do matters, not only to me, but to many more people across countries. Learning many more skills as we grow, this gives me so much joy' – Clera Njobvu, Operations Manager
The heart and soul of our business is our team. We are 15 rural Zambians who work with our British Founder, Kate. Trained in-house, we have over 39 years of snare-jewelry making experience combined. Many of us have been with Mulberry Mongoose for over 7 years. 11 of us are women and we are all proud to have a supportive, all-female management team.
