HandWorx Namibia produces locally handmade products that combines traditional craftsmanship and Namibian scenery that allow consumers to take a piece of Namibia home. We pride ourselves in locally handmade products and offer a variety of Home Decor, Accessories and Miscellaneous.

HandWorx Namibia was founded in 2020 by Sarah Smit who is the designer and creative brain behind the brand. Block Printing is a hobby that Sarah mastered over the past 5 years and decided that in today’s climate she would like to share and expand it into a business. The team includes a total of 4 production staff members, all sharing the same love for Namibia as Sarah does.
MEET THE EXHIBITOR
Sarah has 20 years of experience in African Crafts and has travelled all over the world to engage with the craft industry whilst soaking in the process of design, manufacturing and buying of artisan products.
After Covid and a great deal of Namibians losing their jobs, to the point where people where not able to provide for their families, Sarah decided to seize the opportunity and start a business. HandWorx Namibia’s focus is to employ unschooled/disabled people who can earn a salary/commission to provide for their families. Each staff member is trained to master the skill of block printing and sewing.
The team finds their inspiration for the designs from the Wildlife of Namibia as well as local Namibian tribes such as the Ovambo, Nama & Herero tribes . HandWorx Namibia incorporates colours & shapes that are familiar in order to create memorable and authentic products right from the heart of Namibia.
