Zaruka Lifestyle designs and produces an eclectic range of home décor accessories, which are both functional and decorative. Our current range consists primarily of ceramics, which include bowls, jugs and carafes, platters and vases, all designed and hand-produced in our Johannesburg studio. We like to play between streamlined, clean line, and more organic, rustic pieces, creating contrast and interest. Our range is our expression of the modern African aesthetic – streamlined yet expressive; textured yet atypical – a departure from the expected, and designed to fit well in any modern interior.

Because of our design background, we fully embrace the challenge of working on bespoke ranges for our wholesale clientele, and handle all aspects of the product – from design, to prototyping, to production. Our strength in design, paired with production skills, allows us to easily create and iterate to suit project requirements. Our aesthetic ranges from asymmetrical, yet streamlined shapes, to rustic, forms which evoke a sense of the texture and feel of the African Savanna. This fusion of styles extends to the fusion of pottery with print, and an exploration of textiles and wallpaper design coming up in our next range. We choose to use only local materials, sourcing all clays and materials locally. We produce hard-wearing stoneware ceramics, which are suitable for frequent use, whether in-home, in the service or hospitality industries.
