ABOUT

Unique products produced from my original artwork. Colourful, bright and inviting.

Wall decor, colouring books, gift cards, handmade bracelets.

Along with my husband, Koos, we use my original artworks to produce creative blocks to decorate your walls. These are available in several themes including women, flowers, birds, cats, etc. The blocks are striking on their own, but they also create an enriching arrangement when paired with one or more blocks in the same- or similar theme.

My artwork is available on gift cards that are printed on recycled paper. An extraordinary addition to the recycled gift cards is a range that is handmade and embedded with flower- and herb seeds.

We also produce colouring books as well as canvas prints with art drawings that you can paint yourself. In addition to this we have notepads with a surprise art drawing inside to keep your creative juices flowing while taking notes, or not taking notes.

Also available is a colourful bracelet range which is totally handmade from scratch with polymer clay.

MEET THE EXHIBITOR

My interest in Art started from a very young age and I have been painting now for about 30 years. From an early age, I started experimenting with drawing in different mediums and then moved to painting in acrylics and oils, focusing on different styles.  I took Art as one of my major subjects in school but never had formal training in Art after school and consider myself as a self-taught artist, constantly researching and trying different mediums and subject matter.

I received training in photography and ceramics and also finished a course in graphic design.  The exposure to the different forms of art and all the different art mediums was a direct influence on my unique style today.

My first job was as an art framer at a photographer’s studio in Worcester.  The artworks pouring into that workshop was such a huge influence on me as an artist.  It was there that I started to get familiarised with all the well-known artists around the world as well as the local South African artists.

As a self-taught artist my preference is to work in a Naïve Style. I find the creative process very natural and thoroughly enjoy the fact that I can just create art and don't have to adhere to the rules of traditional styles.  I LOVE to work with mixed media. Inks, acrylics and pencils come to mind when I start a new piece.
