The team of women have explored opportunities made possible when beads collaborate with bamboo. In line with their original thinking, the range of products has expanded to include 2 widths of handcrafted removable bra straps, beaded bookmarks, earrings + necklaces. Three styles of bags produced 100% from recycled plastic bottles has been developed, adorned in eye-catching patterns + beautiful beads. Everything is produced in South Africa.

This team  takes responsibility for each stage of production – from design conception, material sourcing, to fashioning each item with careful regard given to the environmental footprint, primarily that the beadcrafting takes place in the township of Wallacedene, located 45 minutes outside of Cape Town where mothers work closely to their homes.

Low-carbon processes enable sustainability to be worked along the supply chain, creating an opportunity for economic inclusivity, gender equality + cultural preservation giving platform to the important weave between people, place and product.
