The Department of Small Business Development exhibiting as The South African Craft Collective is proud to be supporting 30 SMME’s and Cooperatives participating in the upcoming SARCDA 2017 expo, under the South African Craft Collective brand.
Creating Domestic Markets for our SMMEs and Cooperatives is as critical as creating Export Markets. Employment scenarios outlined in the National Development Plan suggest that most new jobs are likely to be sourced in domestic orientated businesses, the services sector and in growing small-and medium-sized firms. For Jobs to grow from these domestic-orientated businesses, the businesses should not only be growing their sales margins, but they should be sourcing locally produced and manufactured goods and thus jobs would be created both in the tertiary sector as well as the manufacturing sector
This is an assurance to our commitment as Department to the Economic advancement of Craft SMME’s and Cooperatives in South Africa
